Jean Marie Weaver

Jean M. Weaver, 84, of Mason City died Sunday (October 31, 2004) at home. Private family inurnment services will be held at a later date in the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery Columbarium. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa. Jean was born March 11, 1920 at Story Hospital in Mason City. She was first married to Orville Young who died in 1950. To this union were born 3 daughters. In 1951, she married Everett Weaver who died in 1990. To this union were born a son and daughter. Jean graduated from Mason City High School in 1938. She enjoyed life?s little pleasures such as reading biographies and American history. Jean also had a passion and an eye for antiques and collectables and she loved big band music. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. She was a great mother with a great sense of humor. Jean is survived by 4 daughters, Linda Hathaway and husband Clifford of Rockwell, Mary Young of Mason City, Debbie Scheetz and husband Mark of Mason City, Tamsen Weaver of Phoenix, AZ; son, Max Weaver and wife Cindy Connor of Mason City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean?s parents and both husbands preceded her in death.
