Jenele Gourley

Jenele C. Gourley, 88, of Mason City, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 22, 2013, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue – Mason City, with Pastor Ed Bard, Chaplain- Hospice of North Iowa officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home Friday. Interment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Jenele C. Gourley memorial fund in care of the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com Jenele C. Smidt was born July 17, 1924 in rural Britt, Iowa the daughter of Henry and Emily (Herkes) Smidt. She married Thomas Gourley in 1947. She worked many years for Winnebago Industries in the stitchcraft department until her retirement. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sisters, Geraldine Pitkin and Helen Smidt and brother, George Smidt; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas, and 10 siblings: Hanselmen, Ole, Henry Jr., Louis, Ben, Ann, Lena, Alice, Fransis and Emily.

Cemetery:
Interment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Jenele C. Gourley memorial fund in care of the family.
