Johanna Von der Linde, 88, of Watertown, WI, formerly of Mason City, IA, died Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the Highland House in Watertown. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Sean McRoberts of the First United Methodist Church officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM on Monday. Inurnment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the National Parkinson Foundation, Attn: Gift Processing Center, PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018, or online at www.parkinson.org. Johanna was born August 8, 1924, the daughter of Myron E. and Aletta B. (Anderson) Stephenson. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1942, and continued her education at Stephens College in Columbia, MO. Over the years Johanna lived in Bloomington, IN, Anderson, IN, Troy, OH, Rome, NY, and Paris, KY, before returning to Mason City in 1966. Johanna married Wallace Kirsch in 1946, and later married Harold E. Von der Linde on November 27, 1966. Johanna enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed listening to music from the 30’s & 40’s, knitting, car races and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mason City, Women’s Club, and Stephens College Alumni Group. Johanna is survived by 3 children: Richard Von der Linde and wife Debbie of Pewaukee, WI, Michael Kirsch and wife Chris of Watertown, and William “Bill” Von der Linde and wife RaeLynn of Des Moines, IA; 6 grandchildren: Heather Colwell, Brad Kirsch (wife Betsy), Rachel, Kyle, Kade and Kallie Von der Linde; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband in 1965 and her second husband in 2007.

Inurnment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery
