John Kinsinger

John Jack W. Kinsinger, 63, of Mason City, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 in Rochester, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at First United Methodist Church WAYside Chapel, 119 S. Georgia, with Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. There will be a lunch and visitation in the Fireside Room from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday at the church. Interment will be at the Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the John Kinsinger memorial fund.

Jack was born March 28, 1946 in Alden, IA, the son of Wayne and Doris (Weddle) Kinsinger. He graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1964 and later graduated from Iowa State University. He married Patricia Eckhoff on September 1, 1967 at First Christian Reformed Church in Wellsburg, IA. He worked for IMI Cornelius as a manufacturing engineer for 30 years before the plant closed in 2007. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was also active in the River City Radio Control Club. He enjoyed building and flying model radio controlled airplanes and spending time with family and grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his wife Pat Kinsinger of Mason City; two children, David Kinsinger and wife Heather of St. Louis, MO, Diana McGilligan and husband Sean of Waterloo, IA; grandchildren, Ella Kinsinger and Logan McGilligan; his mother: Doris Ball and husband David of Iowa Falls; one brother: Roger Kinsinger and wife Judy of Ankeny, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father: Wayne Kinsinger.
