Johnnie Lee Waslick, 65, of Mason City, IA, died Friday, February 9, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave., with Pastor David Byrd – Chaplain IOOF Home officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday February 15, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Major Erickson Funeral Home.

Johnnie Lee Waslick, 65, of Mason City, IA, died Friday, February 9, 2018. Memorials may be directed to the family of Johnnie Waslick. Johnnie Lee Waslick was born May 10, 1952 in Mason City, Iowa to parents John and LaVonne (Eckard) Waslick. Johnnie grew up in Mason City and attended Mason City High School. Johnnie was a man of many talents, working for Curries, Over Head Door Co., Clear Lake Fire Department as a volunteer then retiring from Serta Mattress Company in Clear Lake, in his retirement years Johnnie spent his time at the IOOF Home as a transport specialist as well as serving any way that he could. Johnnie loved to bowl, he would often find himself with family and friends enjoying the sport. Along with his love for bowling he was also a very passionate Green Bay Packers fan. Johnnie will be remembered by many as having a very large heart and a willingness to help out in the community, a few of those ways he reached out into the community were by being a coach for a local T-ball team and by being a frequent volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Johnnie is survived by his children: Jamie Waslick, Travis Waslick; grandchildren: Jordyn Ketchum, Jonnie Waslick, Stevie Waslick; great grandchild Lyla Davies; sisters Garianne Fuller, Devvy Waslick; aunts, uncles; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents: John and LaVonne Waslick; siblings: Linda Smith and Jay Waslick.
