Josh was born December 30, 1977, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Mike Cooper and Judy (Feuchtwanger) (Cooper) Gress. He graduated from Tripoli High School in 1996. Josh married Nicole Francis on October 14, 2005 in Mason City. Josh was self-employed and excelled at installing all types of carpet and flooring. Josh was an awesome and loving dad. He really liked making people laugh. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, cooking and BBQs.

Josh is survived by his wife, Nicole Cooper of Mason City, his children: Riley Pearl and Harley; his father: Mike Cooper of Ventura, IA; his mother: Judy Gress and husband Gerry of Waverly, IA; one brother: Darby Cooper and wife Carol of Houston, TX; one sister: Jessica Carfrae of Cedar Falls, IA; special nephew: Drew; maternal grandparents: Stan and Doris Feuchtwanger of Frederika, IA; paternal grandfather: Robert Cooper of Sumner, IA. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Pearl Cooper.
