Joyce A. Sabin

MASON CITY: Joyce A. Sabin, 76, of Mason City, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Graveside services will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Kathy Graves, Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. There will be no visitation. Per her request, she will be cremated. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church. Joyce was born May 15, 1937 in Lake Wilson, Minnesota the daughter of Chauncey and Ellen (O’Dell) Sabin. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1955. Joyce worked as a secretary for Interstate Power Company for 34 years retiring in 1996. Along with her secretarial work at Interstate Power, she also worked in the office at Trinity Lutheran Church for 18 years. Joyce was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. A few of her interests included bowling, traveling, making 4 trips to Europe, and in later years trips to the casino in Northwood. She especially enjoyed her time with good friends, Linda and Richard Ott. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Genevieve Sabin, and brother, Virgil Sabin.
