Mason City Judy Fitzpatrick, 62, of Mason City, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Pastor Paul Nelson of St. James Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior the service. Interment will be at Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Judy Fitzpatrick memorial fund. \r\n
Judy was born on May 18, 1946 in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Andy and Lorraine (Lien) Powell. She married Bill Fitzpatrick on June 30, 1989 in Mason City. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and traveling. \r\n
She is survived by her husband: Bill Fitzpatrick of Mason City; her children: Robert Powell and wife Cheryl of Mason City, David Hurst of Mason City, Bridget Holley of Lexington, MN; 7 grandchildren: Kristin, Katie, Daniel, Lyndsey, Jason, Kea, and Koral; 3 great grandchildren: Jashawn, Brian, and Amerah; her mother: Lorraine Powell of Mason City; three brothers: Robert Powell and wife Sharon of Circle Pines, MN, Richard Powell and wife Sherri of Mason City, William Powell of Mason City; one sister: Barbara Stuchel (Larry Smith) of Mason City; several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her extended family: Travis & Angie Counsell and their children Taven and Treven of Nora Springs. \r\n
She was preceded in death by her father, one brother: Michael Powell, one nephew: Jason Powell.
