Julie Anne Johnson-Nagel, 44, of Mason City, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with Pastor Jeff Dahlin of Praise Community Church officiating. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Julie Johnson-Nagel Memorial Fund, in care of the family. Julie was born December 17, 1967, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Larry R. and Ruth A. (Frelund) Johnson. She graduated from Randolph High School located at the Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. Over the years, Julie worked for Good Will Industries and the Salvation Army. She married Marlin Nagel on October 7, 2005, in Clear Lake, Iowa. She was very creative and loved crafts, listening to music, and attending garage/rummage sales. She also had a great love for animals. Julie is survived by her husband: Marlin Nagel of Mason City; her son: Nicholas Dennis Sage of Mason City; her mother: Ruth A. Korte of Mason city; one sister: Heather Lynn Bryan and husband Wes of Scottsville, VA; nieces and nephews: Jake, Justin, Kelsey, and Reese; special aunt: Jo Hansen and husband Harold of Mason city; and sister-in-law: Marcia Nagel of Grafton, IA. She was preceded in death by her father; and her grandparents: Selmer and Beulah Frelund & Minnie and Harold Johnson.
