Kathleen Margaret Boots

Kathleen Margaret Boots, 73, of Mason City, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, April 10, 2017 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Kent Mechler and Pastor Scott Davis officiating. Interment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Kathleen Boots Memorial Fund. Kathleen was born in Goldfield, Iowa on September 11, 1943. On September 17, 1961 she was united in marriage to Larry Boots. The two spent most of their married life in Hampton and Mason City, Iowa. Kathleen had many interest in life. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and friends, while also taking an interest in gardening and bird watching. Along with these things she also enjoyed reading a good book, decorating and being a homemaker. Kathleen is survived by her husband Larry Don Boots; sons: Jeff (Sarah) Boots of Apple Valley, MN and Tim (Carolyn) Boots of Metairie, LA; and 5 grandchildren. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents.
