MASON CITY: Keith A. Morse, 91, of Mason City, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Memorial services will be held 1:30 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the First Congregational Church, Orchard, Iowa. Visitation with friends and family will follow the service at Masonic Lodge #102 in Osage. Inurnment will take place in the Orchard Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Congregational Church in Orchard or Hospice of North Iowa. Keith was born October 30, 1923 in Orchard, Iowa the son of Clarence and Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Meilahn) Morse. He graduated from Orchard High School. Keith served in the US Army Air Corp during WW II as a bombardier flying 52 missions in the European Theatre. Following his honorable discharge, he graduated from the University of Iowa in 1950. Keith married Lavonne “Betty” Funk September 4, 1949 in Osage. Keith and Betty soon moved to Mason City where Keith established Key-Way Office Equipment, retiring in 1987. Keith was a member of the First Congregational Church, Masonic Lodge #102 in Osage and the American Legion in Orchard. Keith is survived by his wife, Lavonne “Betty” Morse of Mason City; 2 sons, Craig (Kathie) Morse of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois and Jeff (Maryann) Morse of Libertyville, Illinois; 4 grandchildren, Christine (Erick) Weeg, Michael, Matthew, and Michele Morse; 2 great grandchildren, Aune and Henrik; 1 sister, Phyllis Tharp of Waterloo. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Dwight, Albert and Glen Morse; 1 sister, Doris Lack.
