MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Levi T. Markle, 23, of Manhattan, formerly of Ventura, Iowa died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in Manhattan. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1309 S. Kentucky Avenue, Mason City with Bishop Kelly Hansen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Mason City and continue at the church on Friday one hour before services. Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Levi T. Markle Memorial Fund.
Levi was born June 1, 1992 in Mason City the son of Thomas and Teri (Cowger) Markle. He graduated from Ventura High School in 2010. Levi lived in Des Moines then Chicago, Illinois before moving to New York City in 2013. He was currently working at a Health and Beauty Spa in Manhattan. Levi had an outgoing personality who could easily make friends. He was extremely creative, enjoyed music and fixing and styling hair. He loved his family and will be dearly missed.
Levi is survived by his mother, Teri Markle of Mason City; father, Thomas Markle of Grimes, Iowa; sister, Sebelia Markle of Cedar Falls; paternal grandparents, Frank and Donna Markle of Grimes, Iowa; maternal grandparents, Mel and Diane Maves of Menomonie, Wisconsin and Les and Joann Cowger of Reno, Nevada; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Levi was preceded in death by his uncle, Doug Cowger and his great grandparents.
