LeVound Inez Bailey, 78, of Mason City, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M Friday (September 15, 2006) at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Kathy Graves officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday (September 14, 2006) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. Memorials may be given to the LeVound Bailey memorial fund. LeVound was born March 11, 1928 in Nunda, South Dakota, the daughter of Clayton and Tilla (Ericksen) Quam. She was raised in Huron, South Dakota and in 1933 at the age of 5 her family moved to Mason City. She attended school in Mason City Schools and completed the 8th grade at Monroe Jr. High School. LeVound was married to Oatis Bailey on May 6, 1947 in Mason City, Iowa. She worked at Decker?s in Mason City for 25 years. LeVound was a member of the Moose Lodge, Mason City Senior Activity Club, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Trinity Lutheran Church, Rebecca?s Women?s Group, Happy Mixers Card Club, and the IOOF. She enjoyed quilting, reading, and going to the Public Library. She was a loving mother and grandmother. LeVound is survived by her daughter, Pat Martin and husband Bob of Rockwell; sons, Dennis Bailey of Mason City, Wallace Bailey and wife Doreta of Mason City; grandchildren, Pamela Martin of Humboldt, IA and Todd Martin of Mason City; step-granddaughter, Kathy Adams and husband John of Rockford, Shelley Brass of Mason City, Lisa Julsen and husband David of Mason City; step-great-grandchildren, Calvin, Benjamen, Amber and Dylan Adams, Jessica Brass, Keisha Hardy, Michael and Amanda Julsen, Zachary Meyers and Katelyn Julsen; brothers, Ivan Quam of Fort Worth, CO, Lyle Quam and wife Margaret of Mason City, Robert Quam and wife Mary of Plymouth, IA, and Clayton Quam of Mason City; sisters, Betty Squier of Nora Springs, Donna Cooper and husband Wayne of Iowa Falls, IA, Carolyn King and husband Raleigh of Mason City, and Annette Duray and husband Dan of Mason City. LeVound was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oatis in 1999 and one brother, John Quam; brother-in-law, Wendal (Buck) Squier; and sister-in-law, Delores Quam..
