Lewis Larson, 68, of Mason City, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life in honor of Lewis will be held at a later date.
Lewis Everett Larson was born on October 1, 1956, in Spencer, Iowa, the son of Alvin and Donna (Boyles) Larson. He was raised and educated in Milford, where he graduated from high school. After high school, Lewis enlisted in the United States Army in 1975 and served for three years—to include a tour in Germany. He had a deep love for fishing, dirt track racing, and enjoyed watching football, especially the Cowboys and Buffalo Bills. He also loved making people laugh, as laughter was always the best way to bring a smile to someone's face.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Nichole Lane (Robert) of Indianapolis, IN, Cody Larson of Coralville, IA, Curtis Larson of Cedar Rapids, IA; siblings, Dick Larson (Joann) of Menomonee Falls, WI, Ann Paige (Wayne Jackson) of Winston Salem, NC, and Randy Larson (Dona) of Milford, IA; Sister-in-Law Lin Larson, Milford, IA; seven grandchildren and a niece and several nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Alvin and Donna, two brothers, Bob and Tom Larson, a sister-in-law, Linda Larson, and two nephews, Bradly and Eric Larson.
