MASON CITY: Lillian H. Bloxham, 91, of Mason City, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Health Center. A celebration of her life will be at 11:00 AM Friday, April 25, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Pastor Kathy Graves officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place in Orleans Cemetery, Cresco, Iowa at 2:30 PM. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa in her honor. Lillian was born April 8, 1923 in Cresco, Iowa to John and Hilda (Klaven) Henderson. She was the youngest of three children. Following high school graduation she attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines. Lillian worked for Griffin Pipe as an administrative assistant her entire working career and worked at many locations. After her retirement in 1988, from Griffin Pipe in Oak Brook, Illinois, she moved to Albert Lea, Minnesota to be close to her family. Lillian moved to Mason City in 2006. Lillian was united in marriage to Ernest Bloxham in 1947 and this union was blessed with three children, John, Ronald, and Deborah Kay. Lillian was very active in Lutheran churches all her life and loved her church family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, entertaining and playing bridge with friends. Above all, her faith, family and friends were the most important to her. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, John (Andrea) Bloxham of Pittsburgh, California, Ronald (Jean) Bloxham of Mason City; grandchildren, Jeff (Amy) Bloxham of Concord, California, Bradley Bloxham, Matthew (Jaclyn) Bloxham of Pine Island, Minnesota, Courtney (Thomas) Bieze of Ames, Abby Bloxham of Minnetonka, Minnesota and fiancée Martin Paz; many great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Costley of Andover, Minnesota; nephew, Hubert Henderson of Golden, Colorado; nieces, Janice (Roger) Schwartz of Rochester, Minnesota, Faye (Dave) Hovde of Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Deborah Kay and brother, Harold.
