Lillian M. Statzer, 94, of Mason City, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at the Good Shepard Healthcare Center. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday (February 17, 2007) in the WAYside chapel at First United Methodist Church, 119 South Georgia Avenue with Rev. Jim Stiles and Rev. David Gobeli officiating. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church and Hospice of North Iowa. Lillian M. Beeler was born January 22, 1913 in Mason City, IA, the daughter of Oscar and Edna (Schneider) Beeler. She married Earl F. Statzer on September 1, 1934 in Mason City. She graduated from Mason City in 1931. She enjoyed embroidery, knitting, and crocheting. She also liked dogs and cats very much. Lillian also enjoyed bible study at the church. Lillian was a member of First United Methodist Churches Christian Women, K.B. Circle, Friday Bible Study and helped with programs at Heritage. She is survived by a brother-in-law: Dean Statzer and wife Merle; nieces: Beth Enright and husband Charles and their son John, and Gwen Dawley and husband Jeff and their children, Randy, Lynda, Michael, and Matthew. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl in 1980, one sister: Bonnie Dodge, and one brother: Donald Beeler.
