Loreen J. Brock, 95, of Mason City, IA, and formerly of Woden, IA, died Friday, May 18, 2018, at the Good Shepherd Health Center.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Good Shepherd Health Center Chapel, 302 2nd Street NE – Mason City, with Rev. Kent A. Mechler officiating.
Inurnment will take place at the Bingham Township Cemetery in Woden.
Memorials may be directed to the family of Loreen Brock.
Loreen Jeanette was born October 12, 1922, on the family farm near Titonka, IA, the daughter of Anthony and Edith (Collinson) Jandl. She attended rural school and was a graduate of the Titonka High School. Loreen worked for Dr. Bahnsen in Burt until her marriage to Hanford Brock on March 9, 1942, at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church in Algona, IA. They farmed near Woden until 1967, when they moved to their home in Woden. Loreen worked at the Woden Produce for 10 years and at Greatwestern in Forest City, IA for 12 years. Loreen enjoyed knitting, crocheting and selling at craft shows. Her specialties included hand towels and doilies.
Left to cherish her memory are her son: Michael and his wife Debrah (Hanna) of Mason City; grandsons: Christopher and his wife Diane of Fort Dodge, IA, Jeremy and his wife Tracey of Overland Park, KS, and Adam and his wife Lisa of Mason City; 7 great grandchildren: Miranda Andersen and her husband Juddy of Humboldt, IA, Michael and Mariah Brock of Fort Dodge, Dylan, Zachary and Hannah Brock of Overland Park, and Sebastian Brock of Mason City; 1 great great grandson: River Andersen of Humboldt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 25, 1989; 3 sisters: Edith, Lavina and Elda; and 3 brothers: Anthony, Robert and Eugene.
