Lori Lynn Johnson, 54, of Mason City, Iowa, passed away on October 20th, 2013. Visitation and service will be held at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac,Wisconsin 54935 on Saturday November 9th at 2pm. Committal of cremated remains will take place at the Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum in Fond du Lac. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the ASPCA or the World Wildlife Fund in Lori's memory. Additional information and guest book can be found at http://www.ueckerwitt.com/ Lori was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on August 7th, 1959, to Francis 'Babe' and Nancy Schroeder. Lori graduated from Mason City High School in 1977. After years of working, Lori's love of learning brought her back to school where she received a degree in Criminal Justice from Hamilton College in 2004. Lori's fantastic work ethic led to long tenures with both Ron Weber and Associates and I.C. Systems; both formerly located in Mason City. Lori loved to read and was known to re-read her favorite book, The Secret History, at least once a year. In addition to reading, Lori loved music, especially Bruce Springsteen who she saw in concert numerous times. Lori also enjoyed keeping up on current events and trials from around the world. If she wasn't doing one of these things, she could be found snuggling with her cat Lola, enjoying a cold Fresca, and watching Turner Classic Movies. Lori was an active member of the Democratic Party as well as a member of the ASPCA and the World Wildlife Fund. Surviving are her daughter: Alexandra Johnson of Lawrence, KS and Alexandra’s father: Douglas Johnson of Mason City; her mother: Nancy Schroeder of Fond du Lac; three sisters: Pamela (Mark) Jarrett of Lake Bluff, Ill, Kim Abbott of Fond du Lac, and Jenny Schroeder of Lincoln, NE; and two brothers: Steve (Helen) Schroeder of Rapid City, SD and Scott (Annie) Schroeder of Lincoln, NE. Her father, Francis 'Babe' Schroeder precedes her in death.
