Lucille E. Nessett, 90 of Mason City died Friday, May 23, 2003 at the Heritage Care Center in Mason City. Funeral services for Lucille will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at St. James Lutheran Church, 1148 Fourth Street SE, Mason City with Rev. Scott Duffus officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, May 26, 2003 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue. Lucille was born March 31, 1913 the daughter of Dexter and Mabel(Gage) Bartholomew in Mason City. She attended school in Mason City. Lucille was united in marriage to Willard Nessett on August 9, 1932 in Austin, Minnesota. She was a long time Mason City resident and an active member of St. James Lutheran Church. Lucille was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She dearly loved all of her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family. Until recently Lucille was a foster grandparent at Tugs Daycare, and treated every child there like one of her own. Lucille also enjoyed time doing crafts at St. James Lutheran Church. Those left to cherish Lucille?s memory are: Son: Robert Nessett and wife Judy of Mason City Daughter: Shirley Shaffer and husband Darrel of Bolingbrook, Illinois Five Grandchildren Ten Great Grandchildren Seven Great Great Grandchildren Sister: Madelene Weitzel of Mason City She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willard, two sisters: Marie Anderson and Madge Nelson, and one brother in infancy.
