Lynn A. Hubbard

Lynn A. Hubbard, 91, of 420 12th St. NW, died Monday (December 20, 2004) at the IOOF Home. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Thursday at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 100 1st St. NE with Rev. Samuel Hamilton-Poore officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue and continue Thursday at the church one hour before the service. Memorials may be given to the Lynn A. Hubbard Memorial Fund. Lynn was born July 6, 1913 in Ladner, South Dakota the son of Harry C. and Violet (Clark) Hubbard. He attended schools in South Dakota, Wisconsin and Mason City. He married Lois Ransom October 12, 1935 at her parent?s home, Charles and Elmira Ransom. Lynn worked numerous jobs throughout his life some of which included owning and operating Bluebird Grocery, sales clerk at Montgomery Ward and managing the Brick & Tile Building. He retired in 1976. Lynn enjoyed his family, music, hunting, trap shooting and most all sports. Lynn is survived by his wife, Lois of Mason City; daughter, Janet McBride and husband John of Polk City; son, Max Hubbard and wife Carolyn of Mason City; grandchildren, Lynn A. Brockett and wife Betty Jean ?BJ?, Fawn Hansen and husband Stan, Laura Crusan and husband Paul, Steven Hubbard and wife Lori, Paul Hubbard and wife Stacey; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Fulghum and husband Russell of Clear Lake; brother-in-law, Howard Long of Mason City; several nieces and nephews. Lynn?s parents, brother, H. Eugene Hubbard; sisters, Marjorie Holmlund, Cecil Long, Pauline Monson and nephew, Jack Holmlund preceded him in death.
