Mason City Marc E. Larivee, 61, of Mason City, formerly of White Bear Lake, MN, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM, Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 North Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Jim Magelssen officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00PM -7:00PM on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue and continue one hour prior to the church service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Marc Larivee Memorial Fund in care of the family. Marc was born on November 15, 1948, at an Army Hospital in Tokyo, Japan, the son of Bernard and Helen (Morris) Larivee. He graduated from Awalt High School in Mountain View, CA in 1966 and San Jose State University in San Jose, CA in 1970. He married Connie on January 27, 1981 in Lake Tahoe, NV. Marc was a distinguished Medical Sales Executive. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and a great athlete who was on the NCAA Water Polo Champion Team, and also an Olympic alternate for S.J.S.U. At age 12, he held the world record in freestyle swimming, beating Mark Spitz. Marc enjoyed hunting, fishing, downhill skiing, surfing, golfing, and swimming. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Marc was a kind and generous person, who was a friend to all who knew him. Marc is survived by his wife: Constance Connie Larivee of Mason City; four children: Lance Larivee and wife Meghan of Portland, OR, Tory Dahlager and husband Scott of Edina, MN, Brett Anderson and wife Becky of Roseville, MN, and Andr Larivee of Mason City; three grandchildren: Benjamin & Katherine Dahlager, and Benjamin Anderson; his mother: Helen Larivee of Los Altos, CA; one sister: Catherine Ammann and husband Fredrick of Los Altos, CA. He was preceded in death by his father: Bernard, and brother: Barney Larivee.
