Marcella M. Dwire

Mason City – Marcella M. Dwire, 96, of Fertile, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday (April 21, 2012) Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday (April 20, 2012) at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rock Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa. Marcella M. Dwire was born October 11, 1915 in Titonka, IA one of 16 children of Charles and Mary (Wike) Monson. She out lived all of her siblings and was the last to join them in heaven. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, attending grandchildren’s activities and events. She was proud of the photos she had with past President Clinton and past Governor Vilsack. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Kurash of Mason City, Carol Jean Keough of Fertile, George Kloster Jr. (Marlys) of Des Moines, IA, John Kloster (Sharon) of Mason City, Margaret Despenas (Ed) of Kensett; step-brother, Arnold Dwire (Patty) of Ashton, IA; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
