Margaret Lorraine Provin

Margaret Lorraine Provin, 64, formerly of Mason City, died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Bethany Life in Story City, Iowa. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave with Rev. Dan Gerrietts of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 Until 6 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Margaret was born June 6, 1953 the daughter of Gean and Velma “Lorraine” (Harriot) Grouette in Mason City, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Mason City High School and later married John L. Provin.

Margaret enjoyed crocheting as a leisure time activity. She was an avid horse lover and enjoyed riding, grooming and just watching them run. She looked forward to her time she could spend with her grandchildren.

Those thankful for having shared in Margaret’s life include her son, Benjamin John Provin and his friend Meggan Daseke; brother, Darrel (Susan) Grouette of Homestead, FL; sister, Lois (Dennis) Lukes of Homestead, IA; six grand children and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Provin was preceded in death by her parents, brother John and a sister, Marilyn.
