Margaret V. Pfeiffer, 89, Mason City died Friday, July 18, 2003 at the Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City. Memorial services for Margaret will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. A private family committal service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church or Hospice of North Iowa. Margaret was born April 18, 1914 the daughter of Jesse C. and Marian M. (Wheatley) Broughton in Sibly, Iowa. Margaret was united in marriage to Frederick R. ?Fritz? Pfeiffer on January 1, 1936 in Sibly, Iowa. She graduated from Sibly High School and attended Iowa State Teacher?s College for two years. Margaret then received her Teaching Degree from Drake University. She taught in Hartly, Iowa prior to her marriage. Margaret then taught at Garfield Elementary School for 13 years retiring from the Mason City School District in 1977. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church, P.E.O. Chapter GN, T.T.T(BF), Retired School Personnel, church circle and a volunteer at the gift shop at Mercy Medical Center. Those left to cherish her memory are: Daughter: Sue Vorseth and husband Duane of Gold Canyon, Arizona Grandchildren: John Vorseth and son Tyler of Mesa Arizona Steve Vorseth of Tempe, Arizona Sister: Ruth Harp of Bakersfield, California Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fritz, son Robert and one brother C.W. Broughton.
