Marguerite Ann Johnson

Marguerite Ann Johnson, 91, of Sheffield, died Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Services will be held at a later date.

Marguerite was born September 3, 1924 the daughter of Frank and Anna (Kunitz) Erich in Madison, WI. She attended and later graduated from Madison High School in 1942. Marguerite continued her education at Saint Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1945. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years retiring in 1986.

On June 18, 1955, Marguerite was united in marriage to Norman L. Johnson.
Marguerite loved being home, she enjoyed spending time baking, cooking and working in her garden. She was an avid reader.

Marguerite is survived by her children; Amy (Gary) Stockton of Lebanon, TN, Linda (Delbert) Wirtjes of Sheffield, IA, Andrew (Bernadette) Johnson of Katy, TX, Erica (Danial) Johnson of Omaha, NE, Sara Johnson of San Antonio, TX, seven grandchildren; Cory Kotenbrink, Brent Kotenbrink, Crystal Kotenbrink, Paul Johnson, Michelle Johnson, Geneva Rowe, Thomas Johnson, many great grandchildren, sister in law; Jean Lee, one niece Christine Lee and one nephew Eric Lee.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norman L. Johnson, two sisters, Gertrude and Frances.
