Marguerite was born November 5, 1934, in California and was adopted by her loving parents Frank and Margaret (Dorsch) Enbusk. She and her family would later move to Mason City, where they made their home. She earned the nickname Muggs when her younger sister could not pronounce her given name. Muggs graduated from Holy Family Catholic High School in 1952 and then attended Iowa State University.

Muggs was united in marriage to John Erickson in 1955 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. To this union three children were born: Julie, Doug, and Mary. The couple later divorced.

Muggs was a stay-at-home mom before she went on to work as a Paraprofessional for children with special needs at Central Heights School and later at Mason City High School. She retired in 1996.

Muggs had a love for Mason City sports. She was a lifetime supporter of all the sports at Mason City High School, especially swimming, basketball, wrestling and football. You could find her at almost every home sports event. She had the honor of being chosen as the 2016 Mason City Superfan at the girl's state basketball tournament. That same year she was also named the Grand Marshall for Mason City's Homecoming Parade. She also loved to support the theatre and music programs within the Mason City Schools. She especially enjoyed Stebens Children's Theatre where she was named Volunteer of the Year.

She never missed an opportunity to support her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to keep track of them, watch them all participate in all their different activities, and brag about them to all her friends.

Muggs was a lifelong member of Epiphany Parish in Mason City. She loved to visit with everybody and later in life her favorite place was Hy-Vee East where you could find her enjoying a cup of coffee, Sunday brunch, or chatting with the staff and many great friends she made.

Muggs was sweet, friendly, compassionate, sociable, and dearly loved by all.

Muggs is survived by her three children, Julie (Don) Berry, Doug (Kim Wyatt) Erickson, and Mary (Rustin) Davenport; sister and brother-in law, Mariann and Terry Alcorn; grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Sedgwick, Brooke (Jon Swart) Berry, Tommy (Maimey Pessima) Berry, Steven Erickson, Nathan (Sammi) Erickson, Kathleen (Kyle Pitman) Davenport, Rex (Rachel Kuzma) Davenport, and Randy (Savana) Davenport; great grandchildren, Caden Sedgwick, Lilah Sedgwick, and Adam Swart; bonus daughter in-law, Mary Niessink Burget; and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Muggs was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Joanne Enbusk.
