Marion L. Welsh Henderson

Marion L. Welsh Henderson, 82, of 302 2nd Street NE died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Memorial services will be held 3:30 PM today, Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Grace Evangelical Free Church, 440 N. Illinois with Pastor Scott Davis officiating. Private family inurnment services will take place at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa.



Marion was born April 22, 1927 in Ionia, Iowa the daughter of Melvin and Anna (Titus) Brown. Originally from that area, Marion recently moved to Mason City from Muscatine, Iowa. A few of her interests included traveling, reading, cooking, shopping, jewelry, playing bingo and slot machines.



Marion is survived by her children, Kenneth (Darla) Welsh of Elmore, Minnesota, Patricia (Jim) Meyer of Elkader, Bonnie Dana of Forest City, Sharon (Tim) Holt of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kathy (Robert) Cole of New Liberty and Sandra (Timothy) Johnson of Mason City; 20 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.



Marion is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Cecil Welsh; 2nd husband, Melvin Henderson; son, Gary Lee Welsh; 7 brothers and sisters; 3 grandchildren.
