Marjorie C. Rasmussen, 78, of Mason City, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at the Good Shepherd Health Center. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, on Monday, April 14, 2008 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave, with Pastor Tom Healey officiating. Private family inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday (April 13, 2008) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Memorials may be directed to the Marjorie C. Rasmussen memorial fund.
Marjorie was born October 4, 1929 the daughter of James and Letha (Jump) Hedrick. She attended Mason City Schools. She was married to Richard A. Rasmussen on June 12, 1948 in Plymouth, Iowa. She worked for Phalen Cleaners for 35 years until her retirement. Marjorie liked crocheting, putting together puzzles, working outdoors and taking trips to the casino. She also liked drinking coffee while socializing with friends. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a recent member of the Moose Lodge.
She is survived by her children, Gloria Callow and husband Ray of Mason City, Beverly Beach of Mason City; grandchildren, Jamie Koehler, Alan Callow, Brendt Bryant and wife Amanda; Jessy Bryant; great-grandchildren, Derek, Larissa, Randi, Levi, Kevin, Kailey, Samantha, Mara, Alyssa, Tiffany, Cassie and Riley; sister, Dorothy Bailey and husband Don of Mason City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard in 2005; son, Ricky in 1973; brothers, Elmer, Paul, Harold, Lee, Donald Hedrick; sisters, Cleatus Cheney, Betty White, Bonnie Williams .
