Marjorie Lundberg, 95, of Mason City, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the First Congregational Church, 100 1st St. NE. The memorial service will be livestreamed on the Major Erickson Funeral Home Facebook page Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time. Inurnment will be held in the First Congregational Church Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, Marge requested memorials to First Congregational Church of Mason City or Shriners Hospital for Children.

She was born in Hayward, WI. to Mildred and Elmer Anderson on March 9, 1929, and grew up in Eau Claire, WI. She attended Eau Claire State College and received a degree in Elementary Education. Her dream was to go to the University of Wisconsin in Madison, but it was too expensive, and by then she had met her soon to be husband, who also attended college in Eau Claire. She worked as a teacher, teacher’s aide, and as a church secretary at various times throughout her life.

 She married Herman J. Lundberg in 1950, and they had three daughters, Marilyn, Barbara and Nancy. Over the years they lived in Eau Claire, Lancaster and Milwaukee, WI; Hopkins, LaCrescent and Minnetonka, MN; Dunwoody, GA and Mason City, IA. Marge was active in PEO, bridge clubs and her churches, and participated in lifelong learning courses offered at the local community college. She was very social and made many great friends throughout her life. Known for her great cooking and especially her wonderful desserts, Marge loved to bake for family and friends. She was a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who made gatherings and holidays special for the whole family. She was interested in everything and everyone around her.

Marge is survived by her three daughters, Marilyn (John) Gaudreault of Omaha, NE, Barb (Tim) Moreau of Mason City, IA, and Nancy (John) Loschiavo of Nashua, NH; her sister Dorothy (Bill) Hansen of Barrington, IL; her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Cory) Reynolds, Emily (Max) Kaeter, Sarah (Chad) Bartlett, Nicole (Shannon) Henry, Peter (Jenna) Moreau, Erik (Morgan) Loschiavo, Brian Loschiavo, and Emma Loschiavo; and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Callen and Phillip Henry, Caleb and Will Bartlett, Sullivan (Sully) Moreau, Nora and Anna Reynolds, and Ethan and Alex Kaeter; her nephews David Hansen, Art Anderson and Craig Hagberg, and nieces Diane Rinehart, Lori Grigsby, and Deb Hagberg.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Herm, her parents, her mother and father-in-law, her brother Art Anderson, her brother-in-law Ken Lundberg and sister-in-law Jean Wright, her nephews Cary Lundberg and Kevin Hagberg, and niece Susan Anderson.
