Mary A. Dow, 94, of Loveland, CO, formerly of Mason City, IA, closed her eyes at North Shore Health and Rehab Facility in Loveland and opened them with Jesus on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Mary was born October 26, 1920, in Nevada, IA, the daughter of George W. and Hannah J. (McCoy) Adams. She graduated from Sheffield High School in 1938 and continued her education at Mason City Jr. College and Hamilton School of Business. On September 1, 1940, Mary married Richard E. Dow in Sheffield, IA. The couple moved to Mason City in 1955. Over the years she worked for Raizes Department Store (18 years), The Boy Scout Office (9 months), Hotel Hanford (5 years), and Credit Bureau (2 years). She retired in 1982. Mary and Richard (Dick) moved to Colorado in 1995. Mary enjoyed spending time with family (especially grandchildren and great grandchildren), reading, gardening, sewing, and beautiful music. She had a servant’s heart, and served in many capacities including U.M.W. at First United Methodist Church in Mason City and Trinity United Methodist Church in Loveland. While in Iowa she was involved in numerous other organizations. Mary is survived by 2 children: Linda Coyle of Rockford, IL. and David Dow and wife Deanna of Loveland; 4 grandchildren Jeff Harmsen, Todd Harmsen (Shelley), Dawn Karr (Joe), and Daniel Dow (Belinda); and 9 great grandchildren Samantha, Skylar, Brandon, Madison, Rylie, Lina, Isabelle, Thomas, and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1998, 2 brothers and 3 sisters, and son-in-law. Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield, IA with Rev. Sean McRoberts of the First United Methodist Church in Mason City officiating. The family will greet friends following the graveside at 11:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall, 119 South Georgia, Mason City. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield, IA.

Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.

Visitation:
The family will greet friends following the graveside at 11:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
