Mary E. Francisco

MASON CITY Mary E. Francisco, 76, of Mason City, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, (July 10, 2009) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with Pastor Kathy Graves of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. till time of the service at the funeral home on Friday. Memorials may be directed to the Mary E. Francisco memorial fund in care of the family.
Mary E. Francisco was born May 1, 1933 in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of William J. and Gladys (Burl) Crowley . She was raised in the southern states and moved to Mason City in 1957 after her marriage to Claude Francisco. She raised three sons while living in Mason City. She worked at Gildners Clothing Store in Mason City as a tailor for 17 years until her retirement. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph Palmieri and wife Ezme of Mason City, Stan Francisco and partner Brian Stemen of Minneapolis, MN, Ron Francisco of Joplin, MO; grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith (Trevor), Paige Payton, Michael Palmieri, Sarah Palmieri and Tara Francisco; great grandchild, Jamie Andren; and sister, Evelyn Treece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ailene Tageson; brothers, Virgil Crowley, Jim Crowley.
