Mary E. Grefe

Mary E. Grefe, 86, of Mason City died Saturday (March 8, 2003) at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Steven Waughtal, Director of Pastoral Care, Good Shepherd officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at the Major Erickson Funeral Home and one hour before service time. Memorials may be given to the Mary E. Grefe Memorial Fund. Mary was born August 18, 1916 in Oskaloosa, Iowa the daughter of Lewis E. and Georgia (Woodward) Johnson. At the age of 2 the family moved to Mason City and she lived in the Manly, Mason City area until her death. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1936. Mary was married to Arthur F. Grefe on June 5, 1937 in Mason City. Survived by Sisters ? Ann Crawford, Plymouth, Washington Ruth Corlew, Newton, Iowa Sister-in-law ? Helen Grefe, Manly, Iowa Brother-in-law ? Robert Grefe, Hampton, Iowa Many Nieces and Nephews Preceded by her Parents, Husband, Sister, Gladys Stolle, Brothers, George E. Johnson and Earl Johnson
