Meilani is survived by her parents: Chris and Casey McKibben of Mason City; 3 siblings: Kelsie, Conner and Alex McKibben; Grandparents: Kim and Julie Terlisner of Mason City, Peggy Tasy of Mason City, and Mark and Roylene Kittleson of Portland, IA; Aunts and uncles: Shelley and Jeff Mosiman of Nora Springs, IA, Shawn and Dawn McKibben of Nora Springs, Joe and Mandi Terlisner of Clear Lake, IA, Josh and Billi Ka Kittleson of Plymouth, IA, Eric Despenas and fiancé Julie of Mason City, Preston and Christina Despenas of Chicago, IL ; Great grandparents: Ron and Ginny Terlisner of Mason City Marilyn Kittleson of Mason City; Many Cousins; And special friends: Jeremy and Ashton Cody and their family of Mason City. She was preceded in death by 1 brother: Jordan McKibben; 1 sister: Lindsey McKibben; Grandfather: Mike McKibben; Great grandparents: Alice Ditch, Jack Redeker, Marie Marsh, Bud and Rosie Kittleson, and Augusta and Lewis Solum. 'Precious little one you’ll always be to me. So perfect, pure and innocent – part of heavens family. We dreamed of you and your life and all that it would be. We waited and longed for you to come and join our family. We never had the chance to play, to laugh, to rock, to wiggle. We long to hold you, touch you now, and listen to you giggle. I’ll always be your mother. He’ll always be your dad. You’ll always be our child, the child that we had. Now you’re gone…but yet you’re here. We sense you everywhere. You’re our sorrow and our joy, there’s love in every tear. Just know our love goes deep and strong, we’ll forget you never— the child we had, but never had, and yet, will have forever.'
