Michael B. Ramos

Mason City Michael Ramos, age 43, of Mason City, died Thursday, January 22, 2009 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 26, 2009 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with Pastor Tom Healey Chaplain, Hospice of North Iowa officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Michael Ramos memorial fund in care of the family.\r\n
Mike was born on December 13, 1965 in Oelwein, IA, the son of Paul Ramos and Mary (Jones) Anderson. He attended school in Independence and Olewein. He married Judy Da Silva on June 5, 1987 in Denver, CO. He worked for Plagge Trucking for 15 years. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football (Broncos), making people laugh and telling jokes. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and monster truck shows. Mike loved watching John Wayne movies.\r\n
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ramos of Mason City; two children: Chris Ramos of Mason City and Angelo Ramos of Mason City; his mother: Mary Anderson of Fertile; one grandchild: Damian James Ramos; his brothers and sisters: Kathy Schnepf of Mason City, Steve Youngton of Fertile, Larry Youngton and wife Theresa of Oelwein, Rose Mary Youngton of Mason City, Kenny Youngton and wife Kelly of Cedar Falls, Anthony Ramos of Oelwein, and Brenda Root and husband Mike of LaPorte City. His is also survived by several nieces and nephews. \r\n
He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, and one brother: Michael Youngton.
