Michael D. Floyd

Michael D. Floyd, 68, of Mason City passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 19, 2021 at his home.

Per Mike’s wishes, his body has been cremated and his family will be holding a memorial service later this summer.

Michael David Floyd, the son of Eugene and Laura (Teigen) Floyd, was born December 8, 1952 at Iowa City. He graduated from Ventura High School in 1971. After high school, Mike held various jobs in the north Iowa area before moving to Oklahoma. He returned to Iowa in 2012. On June 21, 2013, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Deborah Kozisek in Mason City where they made their home. Mike enjoyed putting models together, watching movies and spending time with his family and his beloved cat, Mischief.

Mike is survived by his wife, Deborah of Mason City; step-mother, Ruth of Oklahoma; brothers, David of Oklahoma and Steve of California; step-sister, Lori of Oklahoma; as well as Deborah’s family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Bev.
