Mildred G Moorehead

Mildred G. Moorehead, 91, of Mason City, Iowa, died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at First Assembly of God Church, 1301 N Carolina Ave, Mason City led by Pastor George Ady. Visitation will be held Wednesday July 5, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave. Interment will take place at Elmwood - St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Mildred Moorehead Memorial Fund in care of the family.

Mildred was born June 17, 1926 in Mason City, Iowa to parents Guy and Bessie (Slack) Bull. Mildred was 1 of 16 children. In 1956 Mildred was united in marriage to William Moorehead in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Mildred enjoyed going for long car rides, playing bingo, baking, going to church on Sundays and getting her hair done. She also liked spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Mildred will be remembered most for her loving heart and her willingness to care for others and her family.

Mildred is survived by 4 children: Jerry (Von), Marcia (John), William (Barbara), Randy and Mike (Jeane); 1 sister Charlotte and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents Guy and Bessie; husband William Moorehead; sons Dennis and Larry; siblings; granddaughter Susie and Grandson George.
