Mildred Helen Bailey, 89 of Mason City died Friday, May 9, 2003 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Funeral services for Mildred will be held 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue with Pastor Alan Sheldon of the Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Church of Christ for Missions. Mildred Helen Bailey was born December 8, 1913 the daughter of Edward C. Kennedy and Mabel Florence (Sterling) Kennedy in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. After the death of her father she moved to Mason City with her mother and step-father, David L. Bailey. Mildred was a long time resident of Mason City and graduated from Mason City High School in 1931. She was employed at the First National Bank and then Park Hospital and Clinic in Mason City. In 1977 Mildred retired from the Memorial Hospital after 26 years. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ in Mason City. Those left to cherish her memory: Special Friends ? Deloss and Darlene Baker of Mason City All of her other friends at the Church of Christ and Shalom Towers in Mason City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel Florence Kennedy and Edward Kennedy and her step-father, David L. Bailey.
