Mildred Marie Johnson

Mildred M. (Harris) Johnson, 89, of Mason City, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. According to Mildred’s wishes there will be no services. Memorials may be left to the Wesley United Methodist Church, Mason City.

Mildred was born December 22, 1926 the daughter of John and Louella (Brown) Harris in Mason City, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Mason City High School. Mildred has been a lifelong resident of the Mason City area. On August 18, 1951 Mildred was united in marriage to Robert I. Johnson at the farm home of the brides parents south east of Mason City. The couple wintered in Mission, Texas for 25 years. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Those thankful for having shared in Mildred’s life include her husband Robert I. Johnson, sons, Paul R. (Marta) Johnson of Fontana, California, Mark I. (Mary) Johnson of East Amherst, New York and one granddaughter, Kate (James) Ritter of Louisville, Kentucky, three sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
