MASON CITY- Mildred ?Milly? Gard, 89, of Mason City, died Saturday (Dec. 31, 2005) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Jim Stiles of First United Methodist Church officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Those wishing to express their sympathy through memorials may direct them to First United Methodist Church, 119 South Georgia Avenue. Milly is survived by her children: daughter, Cheryl Gard of Los Angeles, California, son, Mark Gard and wife Sally of Mason City; son-in-law, David Leonard and his wife Toni of Mason City; grandchildren, Cris Picht and husband Shane, Lori Leonard and Louis Reeves, Alexander and Oliver Gard-Murray, Jordon and Brittany Seidel; great grandson, Koi Leonard-Reeves; brother, Roy Schumacher and best friends, Tonita Daugherty, Lolita Kongable and Beverly Kohoutek. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford, daughters, Jacqueline and Judy and two sisters. Major Erickson Funeral Home, (641) 423-0924 is in charge of arrangements.
