Mildred L Moore, 94, of Mason City, died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at USA Healthcare. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday (December 13, 2006) at First United Methodist Church, 119 South Georgia, with the Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave, from 4 PM - 6 PM and also one hour before the church service. There will be a Eastern Star service at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church and Mason City Public Library. . Mildred L. Marshall was born September 12, 1912 to Frank L. and Viola (Wreath) Marshall near Port Byron, Illinois. She graduated from Port Byron, Illinois High School and continued her education at Western State University in Macomb, Ill. She married Lyell J. Moore on June 7, 1934. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mason City, Iowa. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Easter Star Unity Chapter No. 58., a 50 year member of the National Society of the Daughter of American Revolution. Mildred was a former member of New England Women and Daughters of the American Colonists. She also belonged to Sarah Church Circle, Woman?s Club, North Central Iowa Genealogical Society and Veleda Study Club. She worked part time in the Mason City Public Library for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyell in 1986, a daughter-in-law, Charlene Moore in 1997. She is survived by 2 sons: Richard L. Moore of Owatonna, MN and William M. Moore and wife Marcene of Mason City; 4 grandchildren: Gail Moore and special friend Ron Novak of Lonsdale, MN, Mike Moore and wife Cheryl of Little Falls, MN, Ranae Chizek and husband Bret of Dalyville, WI, and Greg Moore and wife Jennifer of Bondurant, IA; 4 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Marshall, Austin and Delaney Moore.
