Misty Lei Green

Misty Green, 42, of Las Vegas, NV, died on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the Nathan Adelson Hospice House in Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time.

Inurnment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Misty Lei Green was born on February 7, 1977, in Des Moines to parents Dave Dudley and Kimberly Hansen. Misty graduated from Cal Community High School in Latimer in 1995. On May 28, 1996, she was united in marriage to Matthew Green, with this union the couple had 3 children. Misty would go on to work as a dispatcher for the Mason City Police Department as well as the Clear Lake police Department later working in Fort hood, Texas and at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville Arkansas.

Those left to cherish the memory of Misty will always remember her as a “one in a million” type of person, she had a smile that could light up a room and had a deep love for her family.

Misty is survived by her husband: Matthew Green; children: Bryce, Emily; parents: Dave (Elanor) Dudley, Vance Hansen; siblings: Nat (Amy) Hansen, Jared Hansen, Carrie Fahrmann, Jennifer (Brad) Newbauer, Garrett (Natalie) Fahrmann; grandparents: Pat Knuse; brothers-in-law: Tony (Michelle) Green, Chris Green, Jeff Green, John (Rachel) Green; best friends: AnnMarie (Robert) Kibby, Teresa (Bryan) Brandau; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Kimberly Atherton Hansen; mother-in-law: Marlys Green; infant son: Zachary; paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents and her best friend: Jaye Beadle.
