Myrtle Sylvia Coe, 92, of Nora Springs, passed away on June 29, 2019, at The MercyOne Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Hanford Community Church, 12411 Spruce Ave. at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Dan Carlson officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family of Myrtle Coe.
Myrtle (Anderson) Coe was born on August 10, 1926 to John and Agnes (Chose) Anderson. She was united in marriage to Keith Coe on October 12, 1946. To this union, 7 children were born.
She was a hard working farm wife. She loved her cows, chickens, and she loved gardening. She loved canning and freezing her goods and sharing them with her family and friends. Myrtle also liked baking pies, cakes, bars, and brownies.
She was a very loving mother, grandma, and great grandma.
Myrtle is survived by two daughters, Mary Cornick, Kathy Coe, and her husband Flint Lines; one son, Ronald Coe; grandchildren, Troy (Jocelyn), Stephen, Heather, Chris (Angie), Kyle, and Cole; eight great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sharon Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Jim Coe and Duane Coe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith; sons, Jerry, Donald, and Stephen; daughter, Jane; granddaughter Tammy Cornick; two sisters, Arlene (George) Eichmeier and Ovila (Orville) Sundvold; and brother Richard.
