Nancy Garcia

MASON CITY Nancy J. Garcia, 56, of Mason City, died Friday, June 19, 2009 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, (June 22, 2009) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with Rev. Ron Stein of First Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Nancy Garcia memorial fund in care of the family.
Nancy was born April 8, 1953 in Mason City, the daughter of Eugene and Esther (Clausen) Wheeler. Nancy worked at IMI Cornelius, where she was a union member. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, eating at good restaurants, playing hand held games, and camping. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years: Randy Garcia of Mason City; her children: Travis Best of Mason City, Bobbie Anderson of Mason City, Rhonda Best of Mason City; 1 step-daughter: Jami Garcia of Oregon; her mother: Esther Wheeler of Mason City; 11 grandchildren: Kattiie, Lee, Gina, Paige, Stevie, Randi, Dusty, Sydney, Luke, Damon, and Kyha; 3 great grandchildren: Elijah, Olivia, and Kailey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and her brother: Ken.
