Neta Rae White

Neta Rae White, 71, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at The Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City. A Celebration of Life will be August 1, 2020 at 1:00pm at East Park (Shelter #3) in Mason City, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family of Neta White.

Neta was born November 15, 1948 in Charles City, Iowa to Fern & Raymond White. She attended Charles City Schools and later married Marvin Mohring and had 3 children; Evonne, Tonia & Marvin JR.

Over the years, she was employed at Winnebago, the Chicken Factory and McDonalds in Charles City, Iowa. She resided in Charles City most of her life and moved to Mason City a few years ago, where she gained some great friends: Jan, Christy, and Sandy.

Neta loved to crochet, go on little road trips, spend time with family and she loved country music. She was a huge NASCAR fan. She collected all things blue and she loved elephants. She loved thrift shopping and going to garage sales. She also loved going to Wendy’s and getting a spicy chicken sandwich and chili.

Neta had a strong love for her 9 grandchildren: Randy, Lisa, Samantha, Christopher, Colton, Brett, Heather, Alyssa and Kaitlin. She had her hands and heart full with an additional 15 grandchildren: Rowan (6), Emilee (9), Rylee (4), Jace (9mo), Riley (7), Dominic (3), Shawn (14), Rain (12), Mya (11), Ava (3), Aydonn (12), Lily (7), Liam (7), Izabellah (6), & William (2).

She is survived by her 3 kids, Evonne (David) Davis of Cedar Rapids, IA, Tonia Temple of Mason City, IA, & Marvin Mohring JR of Mason City, IA; 8 Grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and several nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Colton; her brother, David White; her sister, Mavis Hauge; and the father of her children, Marvin Mohring.
