Nicholas Q. Bobgan

Nicholas Q. Bobgan, 83, of Mason City, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Per his request, no services are scheduled. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa. Nick was born November 7, 1931 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Mike and Susan Bobgan. He married JoAnn Johnston January 25, 1959 in Mason City. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1951-1953. Nick worked as a self-employed contractor in the Mason City area for many years. Just a few of his interests included hunting and fishing up in Northern Minnesota. Nick is survived by his wife, JoAnn of Mason City; daughter, Jane (David) Demanett of Johnston, Iowa; 3 granddaughters, Kristin Demanett of Chicago, Illinois, Ashley Parker of Des Moines, Iowa and Brittany Parker of San Jose, California; sister, Agnes Ericson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 2 brothers, Harold Bobgan of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Dr. Martin (Deidre) Bobgan of Santa Barbara, California and several nieces and nephews. Nick was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Susan and brother, Howard.
