Owen J. Adams

Owen James Adams, born March 29, 2011, in Mason City, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center - North lowa. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Temple Baptist Church, 1211 S. Kentucky, with Pastor Stephen Wolf officiating. The family will greet friends during a time of fellowship, immediately following the service. A private family graveside service will be held at the Visitations Cemetery in Stacyville, IA, at a later date. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Caring Pregnancy Center, 850 l5th St. SW, Suite 1, Mason City, IA 50401. Owen was characterized by his enthusiasm and joy. He was bright-eyed, usually with a wide smile. The mission of his brief life was to bring joy to those he encountered. It was a mission that he approached energetically, and almost always successfully. He is survived by parents Tiffany (Cox) and Kenneth Adams of Mason City; sister Raina, 7; brother Alex, 4; Grandparents Jody (Cox) and Bill Farris of Mason City; Grandfather Morris Altstatt of Satsuma, Alabama; Great-Grandmother Jennie Reed of Mason City; Godparents Lisa and Jerome Risting of Mason City; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a wealth of friends.
