Patsy L. Wike, 82, of Mason City, died Friday, September 29, 2023, at the IOOF Home and Community Therapy Center after a courageous nine-month battle with metastatic cancer.
Pat was born August 22, 1941, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd Pinneke and Lorraine (Findling) Pinneke. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1959. Pat married Gerald (Jerry) Wike on October 2, 1960, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City.
Pat worked with special needs students as a paraeducator in the Mason City Public Schools. She was always active both physically and mentally, she enjoyed walking, biking, doing Zumba, reading, completing puzzles, beating her grandchildren at board games, and cooking & baking wonderful dishes. She enjoyed her volunteer work for the church and Mason City community.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Terri (John) Davis; son, Scott Wike, 4 grandchildren, Macey (Tito) Spilsbury, Derek (Stephanie), and Dustin Davis, Linden Wike; brother, Roger (Ginger) Pinneke, sister-in-law Bonna Pinneke; cousin Deb (John) Slaichert and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, brother Robert (Bob) Pinneke, and her parents.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2023, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Dan Gerrietts officiating. Private family inurnment service will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials maybe directed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Pat Wike's name.
