Phyllis Easley, 79, of Mason City, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. A private family graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Curtis DeLong of First Church of the Nazarene officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to the Phyllis Easley Memorial Fund. Phyllis was born January 15, 1928, in Mason City, IA. She was the daughter of James E. and Gertrude (Morris) Grier. She attended Mason City High School. She was united in marriage to John E. Easley on June 2, 1946 in Mason City. Phyllis enjoyed embroidery, crafts, and taking care of her family. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Mason City. She is survived by her husband John; two children: Dennis Easley and wife Donna of Mason City, and Raymond Easley and wife Nancy of Marion, IA; 6 grandchildren: Jane Swigert and husband Troy of Des Moines, IA, Jennifer Easley of Des Moines, Melinda Easley of the Cayman Islands, Jonathan Easley of Marion, Scott Hildebrand and his wife Cory of Okemah, OK, and Heather Hollaway and husband Chad of Kansas City, MO; 4 great grandchildren: Hannah, Micah, and Gracie Hollaway, and Shelby Hildebrand; two sisters: Alice Walker of Des Moines and Mildred Creekmur of Mason City. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: Harold, John, and Raymond Grier; one sister: Miriam Schwieger; and one daughter: Karen Hildebrand.
