Rachelle E. Lundblad, 88 of Oakdale, Minnesota formerly of Mason City, died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at United Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Monday at the First United Methodist Church, 119 S. Georgia with Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. There will be no visitation. Inurnment services will be held 10:00 AM Monday at Park Cemetery, Nora Springs. Memorials may be given to the Art and Rachelle Lundblad Memorial Fund, North Iowa Area Community College. Rachelle was born August 1, 1917 in Pierson, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Gertrude (Stivers) Harvey. She graduated from Pierson High School, attended Wayne State College, Wayne, Nebraska and graduated from the University of Denver, Denver, Colorado. Rachelle married Arthur ?Art? Lundblad March 11, 1943 in Sioux City, Iowa. She taught school for many years in a number of communities including Holly Springs, Nora Springs and Mason City. Rachelle retired from teaching in 1979 after teaching 19 years in Mason City. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, I.S.T.A. and Eastern Star. Rachelle is survived by 2 sons, Philip Lundblad and wife JoEllen of St. Paul, Minnesota, Kurt Lundblad and wife Laura of Woodbury, Minnesota; grandchildren, Matthew and Ellie Lundblad, Nils Peter Lundblad. Rachelle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Art in 1993; 9 brothers and 2 sisters.
