Ralph S. Shepherd Sr.

Ralph S. Shepherd Sr., 102, of 324 2nd St. NE, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Charles Caponi, Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Memorials may be given to the Ralph S. Shepherd Memorial Fund. Ralph was born July 2, 1902 in Mason City the son of Thomas L. and Amy (Smail) Shepherd. Ralph attended school in Mason City. He was a long time businessman in Mason City owning Shepherd?s Paint & Wallpaper. Ralph was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge and Elks Lodge. He enjoyed art, golfing and boxing as well as other sports. Ralph also enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory is 1 son, Ralph S. Shepherd Jr. and wife Mildred of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 grandchildren, James Shepherd of Oklahoma City, OK, Scott Shepherd of Colorado Springs, CO, Jane Turner Shepherd and husband Bill Turner of Colorado Springs, CO; 3 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 2 nieces; 1 great niece and 7 great nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
